The ATSI Forum is the largest meeting of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workers in the financial space. This is a day of workshopping all things pertinent to our ATSI clients

Each year the External Dispute Resolution schemes put on a training forum for community sector workers to work effectively and efficiently with the industry ombudsmen schemes. Hear from the ombudsmen who work with financial, telco, superannuation, and energy and water disputes.

FCA Twilight: Peer to Peer Debriefing (CPD)

Monday 14th May 2018, 3 to 6.30  pm

What?

This peer-to-peer debriefing course is tailor made by the Mental Health Recovery Institute for financial counsellors and those on the frontline. Good debriefing plus good self-care should  should enable you to do hours of counselling each day without burnout. Learn a structure, and learn what is not helpful. As you practice correct structure, you will become skilled at de-briefing yourself.

You may have done a mini-version in FCA’s Peer-to-peer webinar last year. There is always more to learn and practice in this 3.5 hour workshop.

Understanding and Responding to Family Violence

Thursday 17 May and Friday 18 May (ends at 4 pm)

What?

FCA is running its 2-day workshop for financial counsellors to learn to identify family violence, including economic violence, and its underlying causes, apply a variety of tools that will help you to respond to clients experiencing family violence,
including making effective referrals (reflecting a trauma-informed approach), identify unconscious bias by engaging in reflective practice, and more.

Who?

Financial counsellors who haven’t yet undertaken this training because of difficulty accessing a course near you. Priority is given to those from remote areas.
